About Me

Robyn L. Coburn has been a theater set, lighting and costume designer, and a production designer of independent films. She has worked in the arts and entertainment for 40 years. When not helping people with their job search, she makes textile art dolls and mixed media collage, and writes novels, screenplays, crafty how-to's and musings on creativity, and mindful parenting.

In Robyn's art and writing her mission is to raise people's spirits and help them feel optimistic, happy and powerful.
She also wants to help others succeed. To that end she offers done-for-you resume and cover letter services, writes how-to books, and soon will offer online courses about careers and (re)igniting your creativity. More information at Work In Production. She is also the Fundraising Chair of Women in Media, a organization that works for gender parity in hiring in the entertainment industry. She has written successful grant applications that raised close to $200K for the organization over the last 3 years.

Along with the authorized biography of her father-in-law, screen legend and Oscar (R) winner James Coburn that is available now, her upcoming books include a middle grade novel series about a very unusual friendship.

She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, daughter, and the best cat in the world. She is available to speak or conduct group workshops about resumes, job hunting and working in film production.
